A 1st-level rogue named Renfaldo works the crowd in and around the village square, using his Sleight of Hand skill to pick pockets and lift unattended items. This scoundrel might target a PC, or one of the PCs could have an opportunity to make a Spot check to notice a theft from another victim. Renfaldo is ill-prepared for combat and attempts to flee if possible, making good use of his Run feat.
